To ensure that our events run smoothly and our WhatsApp community is the safe space envisioned, it is important that BGTC members abide by the below policies.

WhatsApp community rules

​

  1. Be respectful, kind and courteous to each other.

  2. Do not spread fake news - factual information shared on the group chat, especially in connection to sensitive topics, must be from reputable sources.

  3. Whilst non-travel related conversations are allowed, there are certain discussions that are not permitted on the group chat. Please message the group admin first if you are unsure about a topic you would like to discuss being allowed on the groupchat.

  4. Do not spam the group chat e.g. with promotional content.

  5. Hate speech or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.

  6. Everyone’s privacy must be respected.

  1. Treat other people with care and respect. Rude or poor behaviour will not be tolerated.

  2. Tickets are non-refundable. There is no obligation on BGTC to sell your ticket if you cancel. However, we are happy to offer advice and share to people that might be interested in buying your ticket.​

Frequently Asked Questions (trips)

Are trips only for people based in the UK?

No! Feel free to sign up if you are outside the UK. Please note we primarily use WhatsApp to communicate with trip attendees​

 

Can I attend a trip solo?

Yes! Almost all attendees attend our trips solo

 

​What is the targeted demographic?

Our trips are primarily targeted towards black females between ages 20-35 ​

 

How can I sign up for a trip?

Please complete the registration form on our website for the trip you are interested in and we will be in touch on WhatsApp with further details

 

What happens once I have signed up for the trip?

  • You will be added to a WhatsApp groupchat where we will provide details of the trip package and costs (if this information has not been shared already on our website). Please note that the trip package will include accommodation and itinerary

  • We will schedule a flight booking call for those that have reviewed the trip package and happy to book their call alongside other trip attendees. The trip lead will provide details of the recommended flight and discuss BGTC trip policies (and queries) during the call. Please note that flights are not included as part of our trip package. You will book your flights yourself during the flight booking call

  • The trip lead will request payment for the trip package at a specified date.  Details of other logistical arrangements will be provided by the trip lead
